McEntire Produce is pleased to announce that we have just opened a new 163,000 square-foot, state of the art food processing facility. The facility is located in Columbia, South Carolina in close proximity to I-77, I-26, I-95 and I-20. It was completed in September of 2006.
The new facility gives us the ability to provide more efficient service and fresher, higher quality product to our customers. |
New Senior Vice President of Operations joins McEntire Produce McEntire Produce welcomes Dave Morris as Senior Vice President of Operations. Dave and his wife will be relocating to Columbia from Dallas, Texas. Dave brings extensive knowledge of retail, foodservice, ingredient and healthy snacking business segments to McEntire. With 35 years of produce processing for family and corporate owned businesses across the United States, Dave is passionate about people and process development. He joins us from Chiquita/Fresh Express where Dave was Vice President of Manufacturing, with ten plants reporting to him including a plant in Costa Rica and Ecuador. While at Fresh Express Dave was awarded the top service award, chosen by the sales team for his performance and passion for customer service. Tom Lovelace Concludes Successful Term as United Fresh Chairman Executive Vice-President, Tom Lovelace, concluded a successful year term as Chairman of the Board for the United Fresh Produce Association on May 5, 2009. We congratulate Tom on serving a productive term as Chairman. McEntire Welcomes New Sales Team Member, Connie Allen Connie Allen comes to McEntire with over twenty years experience in Sales and Account Management. Eighteen of those years have been working in the produce industry with Fresh Cut processors. Connie joins us from Taylor Farms, Inc. where she was employed for the past eight years. As Senior Account Manager at Taylor Farms Connie expanded her knowledge to all customer segments, working directly with Food Service Distributors, Chain Accounts, Retail, Deli and C Store customers. She has been affiliated with the South East Produce Council since 2001 and has served on many committees within the Council. McEntire welcomes Connie to the Team. HR Manager Joins McEntire Staff Marla Carroll, our new Human Resources Manager, became a part of the McEntire team in May of 2008. Before coming to McEntire, Marla worked for six years as the Human Resources Manager at Pioneer Foods, a subsidiary of C.H. Guenther & Son, Inc., in Prosperity, South Carolina. |
